Principal Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor portfolio liquidity and changes to the client liability profiles and adjust portfolios as necessary
- Review portfolio construction and the implementation of various fixed income strategies
- Evaluate and implement the selection of wrap providers
- Collaborate and build relationships with counterparts in the stable value industry, including plan sponsors, wrap providers such as insurance companies and banks, and third-part asset managers
- Negotiate wrap contract terms, investment guidelines and fees with counterparts in the stable value industry
- Act as liaison between distribution channels; assist in responding to queries from sales, Requests for Proposals, and various ad-hoc initiatives.
- Work on various team-related strategic projects (e.g., platform initiatives, portfolio/client restructurings, infrastructure & efficiency projects)
- Understand current events within stable value/fixed income markets, macro market concepts, and the investment management industry
- Assist with client and consultant meetings, client reporting, business development, and general ad-hoc requests
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field
- More than 10 years of stable value portfolio management or client oversight experience
- In-depth knowledge of fixed income markets and stable value investment management strategies
- Deep understanding of Fixed Income, Stable Value, and general capital markets
- Highly skilled analytically
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, and collaborate well with others internally to meet client needs
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- CFA or work toward CFA is a plus
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
