We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Account Manager to manage our existing Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) business and lead the launch of an exciting new product across Belgium and Luxembourg (Belux). This national role requires strong expertise in pharmaceutical sales, strategic planning, and relationship-building with key healthcare professionals. The Account Manager will also work closely with marketing to create and implement impactful materials, projects, and campaigns. While experience in PAH and rare diseases is a plus, we welcome candidates with a strong background in specialty pharmaceutical sales who are excited about launching a new product in a very specialized market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage performance of PAH portfolio in BELUX, lead the successful launch of a new PAH product, including pre-launch preparation, market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and post-launch commercialization strategies.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with customers and KSLs, through individual visits, sales meetings, promotional lectures and participation in congresses and educational events
  • Ensure tailored account management for your assigned territory by understanding and mapping your customers, understanding the patient journey and know how each key stakeholder is involved and influences treatment decisions per account
  • Engage in balanced product sales discussions with HCPs to align customer and business needs in accordance with business prioritization and marketing strategies
  • Work closely together with accounts to identify collaborative opportunities
  • Identify drivers and barriers and pro-actively share relevant feedback with PAH brand lead and the cross-functional team, to ensure an optimal understanding of the market and to drive the marketing and sales strategy
  • Regularly monitor business performance against objectives to ensure sales targets are reached or exceeded. Provide regular updates to management
  • Stay up-to date on the latest product and therapeutic area information for all allocated portfolio indications by attending internal scientific and product trainings, conferences and symposia, as well as by self-study
  • Drive tailored customer engagements, by using data and analytics to better understand the customer’s preference and by properly balancing physical and digital engagements based on the customer needs/preferences
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing materials, projects, and campaigns that effectively promote the PAH portfolio. Contribute insights from the field to ensure that promotional strategies are aligned with market needs and customer feedback.
  • Manage allocated budget
  • Demonstrating highest ethical principles conducting Local law, SOPs and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or University degree in Life Sciences or another relevant discipline with healthcare curriculum from an accredited university.
  • 3-5 years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, ideally in specialty care. Experience in PAH or rare diseases is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience in managing an existing product portfolio, incl successfully launching a new product.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and supporting marketing efforts in a complex medical environment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams to create and implement marketing materials, campaigns, and projects.
  • Open to innovation and experimentation.
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel throughout country.
