About the role:Lean Coordinators are skilled continuous improvement change agents who facilitate positive, strategic, and creative solutions. The BSC principles guide their behaviors to faithfully shepherd lean systems. They proactively eliminate waste sustainably.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Someone in this role would require direct mentorship throughout project work to ensure consistent understanding and application of lean on our manufacturing lines.
  • Implement projects to achieve core metric improvements in the following categories: Safety, Quality, Output, Labor Efficiency, Scrap and Cycle Time.
  • Understanding, leveraging, sustaining, and improving the following lean principles tools and systems: Work Content Graph (line balancing), Standard Work, Standard WIP, Visual Staffing Plan, 5S, 8 Wastes, Continuous Improvement System and Kaizen.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to guide decision making.
  • Identifying and capturing the value of projects in our Value Improvement Process (VIP).
  • Understanding and adhering to the following Principles: Go See, Create Pull & Flow, Build in Quality, Focus on Process, Align to Strategy, Place Customers First, Engage People, and Engage Value Improvement.

Required qualifications:

  • 0 Years with Associate degree/diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
  • No sponsorship requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Introductory knowledge of lean tools
  • Experience implementing positive change
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment with personal protective equipment
  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment or similar
  • Technical degree related to lean manufacturing or pursuing one
  • Completion of Lean Leader certification or formal continuous improvement training (ex: six sigma yellow belt)
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstration of proactive problem solving & innovation
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Passion for process improvement
  • Independently manages time
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience training others
  • Participation in Boston Scientific’s global continuous improvement process

Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substance testing requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
