As a Facility Security Officer at Intel Federal, you will:
Play a pivotal role in safeguarding our national security interests and supporting our expanding security program.
Lead internal security assessments and reviews, performing comprehensive risk analyses of business processes and technology solutions to ensure compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Translate security and technical requirements into actionable strategies, designing and implementing robust information assurance and security solutions that address needs such as business continuity, operations security, and regulatory compliance.
Analyze and validate documented processes, procedures, and standards to maintain secure configurations, identifying and addressing any shortcomings in platform security and compliance processes.
Proactively identify security risks and effectively communicating them to stakeholders, ranging from business leaders to engineers, will be crucial to ensuring a shared understanding and collaborative approach to risk mitigation.
Install and manage security measures and software, including firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect systems and information infrastructure.
Additionally, you will review incoming contracts to understand security data safeguarding requirements, provide contract modification recommendations, and drive security requirements based on regulatory directives and other security engagements.
Monitor computer networks to identify security threats and investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring timely and effective responses.
Stay up to date with information technology trends and industry security standards is essential, as you apply this knowledge to enhance our security posture.
Work closely with information security engineering and architecture staff to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
You must possess the below minimum requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States government customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions.
US Citizenship required.
Active US Government Top Secret/SCI (TS-SCI).
High School diplomaand 6+ years of equivalent security experience or 1+ years of security office administration and facility security experience.
2+ years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the NISPOM, Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD), and OPSEC principles.
2+ years of experience in working with the Department of Defense (DoD) policies and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreein a related discipline and 2+ years of equivalent security experience.
Experience as an FSO or AFSO.
Expereince with DISS, NISS, NBIS and SIMS.FSO Program Management certification or any other relevant industry certifications.
Experience in managing physical security measures, such as access control systems, security alarms, and surveillance equipment.
Experience with cybersecurity measures and IT security best practices.
