Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct leadershipa global equity team with a strong focus on collaboration and process optimization and ensure this highly-visible function provides extraordinary customer service to PayPal’s employees.
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve their potential, elevate their skills and knowledge, and do their best work
  • Broad and comprehensive expertise and experience leading a global equity team responsible for the administration and reporting of stock options, restricted stock units, performance-based restricted stock units, employee stock purchase plan and similar plans.
  • Drive end-to-end accountability and a tight partnership with key stakeholders across PayPal.
  • Develop, champion, and implement stock administration process improvements.
  • Define and establish scalable, agile, and best-in-class processing and controls over equity transactions processed online (e.g. issuance of grant agreements, option exercises, cancellations of options and RSUs, activity in an employee stock purchase plan) via E*TRADE platform.
  • Oversee and manage relationship with E*TRADE with responsibility for ensuring the service provider operates in a cost-effective manner and is providing a best-in-class online experience for PayPal equity holders.
  • Strategically partnering with the compensation team, develop a list of key performance indicators of the company's equity programs that can be tracked and benchmarked to other companies.
  • Strategically partnering with the business technology team to automate reporting between equity administration system and systems used for payroll (earnings and taxes) and human capital management for real-time reporting of equity transactions and drive continuous transformation.
  • Strategically partnering with the Corporate Secretary, timely file Section 16 reports and help to ensure compliance with the Insider Trading Policy.
  • Assist in the preparation of the equity footnote in the Company's audited financial statements, as well as the annual proxy statement.
  • This role and members of the team will provide regular employee education sessions (recorded and live sessions with employees around the globe).
  • This role will oversee a team responsible for controls, financial reporting, tax reporting for multiple foreign jurisdictions in partnership with third party tax and legal counsel.
  • Maintain process documentation and list of key controls for use by internal and external auditors and in support of requirements under Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis of equity activity by participants.
  • Respond timely to frequent ad-hoc reporting requests.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive human resource experience
  • 7+ years in a role responsible for global equity administration at a publicly-traded company (with 3+ years in a managerial position)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Broad experience with different equity award forms (e.g., RSU, PBRSU, PSU, stock options, and ESPP).
  • Experience with various forms and filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (Proxies, Form 4's, executive compensation tables)
  • Familiarity with concepts and issues related to administration of equity programs with global workforce (e.g., tax).
  • Extensive experience working cross functionally on equity matters with colleagues in legal, finance and human resources.
  • Proven track record of leveraging technology to support growth at scale.
  • Experience in coaching, training, and developing employees in a high-performance culture
  • Demonstrated experience driving extraordinary customer service in a cost-effective manner.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Equity Professional certification preferred
