Under broad goals and objectives, exercises judgment within general defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for acquiring solutions to complex problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- - BS or MS equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering and automation.
- - 5 plus years in an engineering (automation) role with experience in directing a team of engineers for (NPI) new product introduction.
- - Be proficient in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
- - Have the ability to communicate optimally in a worldwide environment—and multi-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications
- - New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience desired.
- - Proven track record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design required.
- - Required to understand and build tolerance stack-ups for assemblies and part level.
- - A strong plus would be knowledge of optics principles related to CCD cameras, 2D and 1D lasers, and their use for positioning and critical alignment fixtures.
- - Basic understanding of adhesives and dispensing technology.
- - A solid understanding of pneumatics, servo motors, PLC, and PC-based control systems is a plus.
- - JMP, Minitab & Six Sigma experience are a plus.
- - Self-starter with innovation, integrity, and attention to detail
