Key job responsibilities
As an Application Development Engineer in GREF Tech you are responsible to integrate 3rd party systems into Amazon's diverse software ecosystem, understanding how to monitor and improve the operational excellence of those systems, and deliver a seamless user experience to the audience of the systems you own. You will take the lead on defining and implementing engineering best practices and using data to define and improve operational best practices. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives for building systems will raise the bar on user experience.A day in the life
You will work within a hybrid space between hardware and software integration. Our area of ownership spans from air quality sensors deployed in buildings to wayfinding solutions that allow users to find the most appropriate room for their next meeting, or the occupancy of their usual office space. We collect data from millions of sensors, and systems, use AI to provide useful recommendations to employees so they can make the best use of their time in the office. Your role will be central to all of this because you will ensure all these systems are well integrated and interfaces are healthy.

* 2+ years of non-internship professional Systems engineering and automation development experience
* 2+ years of designing monitoring for 24/7 systems and creation of system health dashboards
* Experience programming with at least one scripting language such as Python, Javascript, PowerShell, Ruby

* Experience in development of hardware automation and test systems
* Experience with Hardware/Software system bring up and debugging
* BS Computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering, physics or equivalent experience
* Experience in development of automation hardware/Software test solutions
