Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years’experience indesigning, developing, shipping, and running software and services

• OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of experience in cross-group, cross-functional engineering roles.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years’experience indesigning, developing, shipping, and running software and services

• OR equivalent experience.

• 6+ years of experience in cross-group, cross-functional engineering roles.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complexity into clear, concise messaging and to develop execution plans for moving through that complexity to durable technical solutions.
• In-depth familiarity with Azure cloud concepts, including tenancy, guesting, VDI, RAILs, and VPN.
• Ability to quickly prototypethrough the standing up of simple cloud topologies and coding in your language of choice.
• Thorough understanding of cloud and security concepts such as tenancy, guesting, pentesting, authn, authz, JIT, and JIA.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. • Driving secure engineering policies, practices, and tooling across user-facing services at Microsoft, including AI platforms and implementations.
• Helping guide engineering teams across Microsoft on security best practices.
• Collaborating with teams across Microsoft to help define the state of the art for detection, prevention, and elimination of security risks.
• Identifying emerging security problems that need additional focus, and contributing to building solutions to solve them, often utilizing AI.
