As the Paid Media Manager for Brand and Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in owning and optimizing paid media campaigns to achieve substantial growth in Venmo users. This position requires a dynamic individual capable of collaborating cross-functionally with analytics, creative, legal, martech, and media agency teams. The Manager will leverage data-driven insights to design innovative campaigns for the Venmo business, and our ideal candidate is highly influential, organized, and accountable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the ideation and strategy for paid campaigns supporting Venmo’s brand and partnership goals.
- Manage agency support for execution of paid campaigns.
- Analyze campaign performance trends and insights to gather learnings, optimize, and inform future paid strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally with brand, creative, integrated marketing, product marketing, and partnerships leads on paid strategy and briefs, including creative briefs.
- Collaborate with Analytics, Ops, and Martech to drive best-in-class support of measurement, setup, and tech stack updates that enable your campaigns.
- Monitor industry trends for brand and partnerships campaigns that could influence paid strategy.
- Design paid tests to find efficiencies and shape future paid strategies.
What we’re looking for:
- 4-5 years of experience in paid media management, with an emphasis on brand media and partnerships. 1-2 years of hands-on experience in-platform (paid social, programmatic) required.
- Deep understanding of paid media for app, including MMPs, app campaigns.
- Experience managing agency teams + direct reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex paid concepts to non-paid stakeholders.
- Collaborative outlook in all that you do, working effectively with creative, analytic, and partnership teams.
- Project management skills, with strong prioritization capabilities and attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset, comfortable with discussing measurement approaches, reporting, and “digging into the numbers.” Effective at forecasting performance when designing media plans.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Nice-to-haves: experience in finserv/fintech.
