The OCTO is looking for a senior manager within the tech vendor management space to help manage strategic vendors.
Job Description:
Job Title:Senior Manager, Tech Vendor Management
You will own a portion of the strategic relationships across technology, developing and deploying the vendor-specific strategy, supporting negotiations and renewals, and managing vendor performance, including creation and deployment of cross-functionalQBRs.
This role supports the top-level leadership team within Technology, with daily interactions with VP+ leaders within and outside ofTechnology.
You will own and manage the day-to-day partnership of our most strategic vendors with a 360-degree view: developing strategy, driving performance, and pushing cost optimization.
You will partner closely with our technology technical SMEs, Procurement, HR, Legal, and Finance teams.
Your Day to Day:
- You will take the lead in cultivating meaningful relationships with our vendors and driving the day-to-day management of thepartnerships.
- Create, deploy, and manage vendor strategy within vendor set, including demand management, seeking out ways for consolidation, and partnering with our vendors to understand future-looking vendorcapabilities.
- Drive vendor accountability through performance management, including through contractual vehicles, managing and understanding vendor risk, and through day-to-dayescalations.
- Bring your project management skills and your ability to juggle in managing multiple projects, drive new processes, managing scope, schedule, and resources
- You will be required to build and nurture influential partnerships with key stakeholders in thebusiness.
What You Need to Bring:
- A successful candidate should bring a minimum of 8+ years of experience with a proven track record of managing complex vendor partnerships, driving performance management, and cultivating true partnerships
- Ability to create and sustain meaningful internal partnerships, including the ability to create trust and influence without authority
- Highly flexible, able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization.
- Strong understanding of technology vendor landscape
- A BS/BA in Business, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or similar degree is preferred but not required
