Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy for the CEO, aligning with PayPal’s overall communication goals and brand voice.

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and impactful content, including posts, videos, and graphics, that highlight the CEO’s thought leadership, company initiatives, and industry insights. This person should have deep knowledge of how to amplify product specific content, a keen understanding of the developer community and customer-obsessed mindset.

  • Community Management: Monitor and manage the CEO’s social media accounts, engaging with followers, responding to comments, and fostering a positive online community.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to optimize content and strategy.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including PR, marketing, and executive communications, to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with broader company objectives.

  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address any potential issues or negative feedback on social media.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10+ years of experience in social media management, communications, or public relations, with a focus on executive communications.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience with social media analytics tools and platforms.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $111,500 to $191,950
