The successful candidate will:

  • Develop engaging communications working with a team focused on helping to shape and elevate executive voice, advance TD's priorities, and instill confidence in our strategy, reputation and narrative.

  • Develop engaging speeches, remarks briefs and thought leadership pieces that express the voice of the CEO for key engagements and audiences, internally and externally.

  • Support end-to-end research, writing and production of communications, collaborating with leaders, subject matter experts, and teams across CAPA and the Bank to demonstrate leadership on issues that matter to our clients, colleagues, and the communities we serve.

  • Work closely with colleagues and leaders to drive engagement and amplification across the Bank of key messages and strategic priorities. Support social media content strategy.

  • Be a team player who can also work independently to deliver exceptional quality work, with meticulous attention to detail, under tight timelines.

What you bring to the role:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in a corporate communications, journalism, or agency environment, or comparable experience.

  • Exceptional writing skills, including speech writing, with a passion for creating communications that conveys a clear and relevant message and that effectively capture tone and voice.An ability to produce a variety of high-quality compelling content on deadline.

  • Ability to develop and implement innovative executive communications, with a point of view on how to leverage executive voice to drive business objectives.

  • Strong interest in news and broader issues and trends and the ability to apply to communications strategy.

  • Strong understanding of current trends in executive communications on social media and digital content.

  • Undergraduate degree or corporatecommunications/journalismPR/marketing/ certification, designations, or equivalent required.

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required on occasion to support business needs.
