Job Purpose:

You’ll help develop and shape the AI strategy of the business, with a focus on bringing third-party solutions in-house, while also planning for any potential expansion into generative use cases. You’ll play a pivotal role in evaluating new services and will work closely with Sony teams to ensure our strategy and implementation cohere with global guidance, ethics, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development of a comprehensive strategy for integrating and deploying intelligence technologies in accordance with ethical, safety, and privacy standards. Work with senior leadership to align with business goals and forge consensus on strategy.

  • Sony-First Technology Collaboration: Prioritize evaluation of proprietary AI models and tools developed by Sony companies, ensuring these solutions are thoroughly assessed and leveraged when beneficial. Provide feedback to Sony teams working on such tools and help them improve the product before any potential use on Extreme’s platforms.

  • Facilitating the Transition to First-Party Tools: Assess and oversee the transition of AI solutions from external vendors to in-house or Sony-developed offerings. Produce a structured plan that will ensure compatibility, scalability, and alignment with internal systems and objectives.

  • Vendor and Technology Partner Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and technology partners, with special consideration for partners that will be needed to facilitate the transition to first-party tools.

  • Research and Evaluation: Conduct research on emerging technologies and generative applications, assessing the potential impacts on (or opportunities for) the business. Regularly attend industry conferences or specialized functions to network with peers and learn about developing trends.

  • Ethics, Compliance, and Governance: Work closely with compliance teams to ensure all AI solutions and initiatives align with corporate governance and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with managers to identify and address risks associated with solution implementations.

  • Project Oversight: Ensure development initiatives are aligned with strategic objectives andpropose adjustments asnecessary. Collaborate with the Technology Manager to ensure intelligence projects meet milestones and performance targets.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical ideas or problems succinctly and understandably to non-technical people.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize, and multitask without sacrificing quality.

  • College degree or equivalent—any focus in computer science is a plus.

  • Any background in music production or composition is a huge plus.

  • Strong familiarity with project management and documentation software.

  • Experience in UI/UX design is a plus.

  • Previous commercial or production music experience is a plus.

  • Strong desire to keep up to date with emerging technologies.

  • Some Travel Required

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extending working hours for evening and late-night events.

    DISCLAIMER:

    The anticipated annual base salary for this position is$85,000 - $115,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
