Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate (or currently pursuing) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant field

• OR equivalent experience.

• A track recordof research accomplishments, e.g.,majorconference publications(ACM SIGMOD, VLDB).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Appetite for undertaking ambitious research challenges.

• Familiarity with traditional SQL or big data systemscloud platforms.

• inkey components of data systems, e.g.,distributedquery execution, resource management for cloud platforms, low-code data transformations.

• knowledgeof modern hardware.

• Experience with applying AI and Machine Learning techniques for challenges in data system
