The Fin Solutions Lead will be primarily responsible for managing a high volume of testing Regulatory reports, specifically FR Y-14Q/M/A. The Lead will work closely with Report Owners, Global Functions Technology (GFT), and QATV support functions to execute testing sprints.
The Fin Solutions Lead is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.
Responsibilities:
Lead analysts support transaction testing reviews including prioritizing work, providing guidance throughout book of work, developing junior analysts’ testing skill set, report and product knowledge through training
Ensure our partners in Global Tech, Business Technology, Report Owners, Source Document Providers, and external consultants are aligned to the relevant book of work and the QATV Methodology & Procedures
Assign, manage, and review work of team, evaluating their findings and judgment in applying regulatory principles to reporting
Identify issues and exceptions, produce analysis and insights on findings, and communicate updates and results effectively to other leads and managers
Work with stakeholders to ensure action plans are in place to address gaps identified in the QA process and validate the remediation when complete
Responsible for ensuring adequate and effective controls are in place for the QA process as well as ensuring team's compliance with controls
Ensure proper documentation of review evidence to support the results
Maintain and ensure adherence to proper desktop procedures for the QA process
Support managers engagement as needed with Regulatory & Management Transaction Testing reporting reviews along with Internal Audit, ICRM, ORM reviews
Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations. Develop strong working relationships with Report Owners, independent review teams, internal audit teams, and other key stakeholders
Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
Strategic professional who advises on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application in own job and the business
Acts as a technical expert who acts as an advisor on significant business/product decisions
Performs other duties and functions as assigned
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
Can exercise independence of judgment and autonomy
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
Qualifications:
6-10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
Strong background in U.S. Regulatory reports with specific knowledge of CCAR and FR Y-14A/Q/M. Audit or prior regulatory reporting experience preferred
In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred
Recognized technical authority for an area within the business
Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely to both technical experts, non-technical business leaders, and senior leadership to facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders and to clearly articulate findings, defend point of view amongst various groups
Ability to collaborate, coordinate and execute with the broader teams, business partners, Report Owners, Data Providers, Global Functions Technology to drive the implementation of strategies and successful execution of tracing sprints
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, potentially Master’s degree
CPA preferred
