As part of our International Tax and Transaction Tax team, you will advise companies on all tax aspects of their transactions andhelp clients to manage all aspects of a tax function, including acquisition structuring, holding structure set up and design as well as managing global tax risks and meeting cross-border tax obligations
Key responsibilities:
- Lead International Tax engagements on a day-to-day basis
- Manage a team of tax professionals to combine diverse cross-border transaction experience with local tax knowledge across a broad spectrum of industries
- Take responsibility for the preparation of tax advice / analysis that will be delivered to clients and other parties
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- Manage engagement economics and communicate significant issues, fees and estimates-to-complete to partners and clients
- Assist partners with generating new business opportunities and develop client networks and relationships
- Build strong internal relationships within the team and across other service lines
- Understand our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to serve clients better
- Help people to develop through the effective supervision, coaching and mentoring of junior staff
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback
- Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training International Tax professionals
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures and communicate them to all levels of staff
Qualifications, Education and Certification
To qualify, candidates must have:
- An undergraduate degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, taxation, economics, finance or law (an advanced degree in economics, law, tax or accounting is desirable)
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant tax advisory services’ experience gained from Big four firms or sizable public accounting firm or with at least 3 years at a managerial level leading clients engagements; Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager / Senior
- International tax advisory experience is desirable
- Experience across multiple jurisdictions would be an advantage
- Strong tax technical skills including knowledge in BEPS 2.0
- Highly-developed project management skills
- Strong marketing skills
- Excellent managerial, organizational, project management, analytical, and verbal / written communication skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin
- More experienced candidates may be considered for Director grade
