Manufacturing Technician (Plymouth, MN)
In this role you will support process development of new products, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet requirements, and identifying and recommending solutions for complex technical issues. Activities include equipment and process technology development, pilot line development, prototyping, and fixture design and development.
Your role:
- Initiating and executing product industrialization activities including equipment selection, process development, process characterization and process validation, in support of new product development as well as design changes.
- Works directly with other engineers to address design for manufacturability issues, while solving problems and work independently.
- Perform job functions in accordance with applicable GMP and ISO guidelines, while complying with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws/standards and the Code of Conduct.
- Build or assemble prototype materials, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Driving key performance indicators such as Cost of Goods, Yield, Output, Quality throughout projects and into commercialization.
You're the right fit if:
- Mechanical Drafting, Design, or Engineering 2 year technical degree. Solid Works Certification, preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Medical Device R&D, Process Development or Manufacturing.
- Your skills include interpreting prints, drawings and schematics, experience and knowledge of GD&T, FDM/SLA and 3D printing technologies, design for manufacturing, assembly, and testability, proficient with FDA QSR/cGMP and ISO13485 requirements to maintain commitment to environmental. Quality regulations of metals/polymers processing with lasers integration, preferred.
