What You’ll Do
  • Assist Quality Engineers duringfault injection exercises process refinement through Gage R&R andmanagement of Issue Tracker actions to resolution and assist in theidentification and resolution of manufacturing quality issues, contain parts orproducts as needed, sort parts for quality requirements
  • Serve as the on-shift subjectmatter expert (SME) for process and product specifications that define qualityin assigned areas
  • Maintain, update, and validateproduct and quality plans and control plans, leads line to line root causeissues/solutions to increase and maintain quality metrics and performance
  • Develop and implement dailyprocess/line specific audit plans for Quality Technicians. Compile and reviewresults with cross-functional teams
  • Support training the training andcoaching of quality technicians on root cause issues/problems and bestpractices for corrective action implementation and countermeasures
  • Lead/Participate in continuousimprovement activities with Process Technicians/Engineers ManufacturingEngineers and external suppliers and take part in ongoing optimization ofmanufactured products with respect to both cost and production technology
  • Analyze and interpret high failureproduct data independently, effectively escalating/root causing fall-outalongside line Quality Technician and direct potential problem preventativeaction on quality defects based on increased data metric fall-out rates andfailed lineside products
What You’ll Bring
  • Level 2 Quality Technician orhigher and experience on Model 3 Drive Unit, Battery Module, and/or Pack linesand experience with quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in QS-9000, ISO/TS16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA preferred
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturingpractices, 5S, TPS, TQM, etc. highly desired and strong aptitude withelectronic test and measurement systems
  • Proficiency at reading andinterpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams and knowledge of GD&Tengineering drawings and must have command of the English language, bothwritten and verbal
  • Ability to lift and sort parts.Ability to effectively communicate common issues and defects to leadership andmanagement assisting with solutions
  • Ability to work in a dynamic,fast-paced environment providing line leadership and guidance and detailoriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Ability to pull and manipulatedata in SQL, basic statistical knowledge (capability, t-tests, etc.). Abilityto use technology tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize,and interpret data. Ability to operate relevant personal computing hardware andstandard software
