Description
Engineers are expected to work quickly and smartly to help determine the viability of ideas and technologies. You will need a keen understanding of GPUs and lower level programming and an ambition to improve, innovate and explore these technologies to enable creatives to surprise and delight our users.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 8+ years of relevant industry experience with the following:
  • Programming skills and knowledge of C++
  • Proficient in mathematics for 3D realtime applications (linear algebra)
  • Understanding of GPU hardware architecture and how that affects solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Design and implementation of real-time 3D and/or spatial experiences
  • Experience delivering high quality software to end users
  • BS/MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apple CPU/GPU architecture
  • Experience writing optimized code using e.g. profiling tools, assembly, SIMD, compute, etc
  • Proficient in at least one of the major modern graphics APIs (Metal, Vulkan, DirectX, Consoles, etc)
  • Familiarity with macOS and Unix
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
