The primary role of the Sr, Manager, Pricing & Reimbursement is to coordinate pricing activities and provide the related pricing analysis and support. Responsibilities include leading adherence to the pricing policies and procedures, evaluating price increases, securing approval of new product pricing, managing the price increase proposal and approval process and coordinating state brand price transparency reporting. How you’ll spend your day

  • Support Value & Access Strategy Teams by consulting with business units on pricing strategies and proposals. Calculate and communicate the financial impacts of proposed pricing actions, such as launch and WAC pricing updates, and verify that all appropriate checks and approvals are completed.
  • Support Contracting Team in their efforts to assess GTN impacts for contracting updates. Develop analysis tools to evaluate pricing proposals. Effectively utilize existing data and systems to support the pricing function.
  • Work closely with the Government Pricing Team to ensure all calculation impacts are considered when analyzing strategic pricing updates (Best Price, AMP, URA, CPI Penalty & ASP)
  • Work with Sr. Director, Pricing & Reimbursement to lead, facilitate, and record Pricing Committee meetings and approvals.
  • Establish and create pricing policies and procedures. Ensure procedures are followed and approvals obtained as appropriate. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure pricing actions are implemented timely and accurately.
  • Track and manage state pricing transparency policy submissions.
  • Own process for Federal Contracts from analysis to implementation. (VA/FSS (TPR), DoD, National Contract, solicitations)
  • Responsible for building and maintaining the pricing database to document and address pricing issues as they occur. Communicate pricing updates internally, both Teva portfolio and competitor.
  • Provide expertise to all brands on Medicaid and Federal pricing, ASP, and Reimbursement.
  • Attend various Pricing and Contracting training and industry meetings to stay current on regulatory requirements, Medicaid and Federal pricing regulations, and legislation impacting pharmaceutical pricing.
Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing, Market Access, Payer contracting or government pharmaceutical price forecasting/reporting.
  • Forecasting and predictive modeling experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, payer segments, the pharmaceutical pricing environment, and business analysis.
  • Strong financial analysis skills including extensive familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to prepare and present results to senior management.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements as it pertains to contracting, third party payers, and the government pricing environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Approximately10 – 15% domestic travel throughout the US and Canada.

Occasional:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or mobile equipment.

Visual Acuity:

  • Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
Compensation Data

The annual starting salary for this position is between $136,320- $178,920 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
