Camera system engineer focuses on realizing camera HW designs, delivering tools, frameworks and testing infrastructure to facilitates. It is responsible on image quality management across the device development cycle. The camera system engineer is also responsible on integrating the camera module hardware subsystem design into the device and working with the camera architect to perform design simulations and tolerance analysis reviews in order to deliver and lock down the design.
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- Extensive experience in camera systems and camera specification, camera test development, manufacturing process development and implementations for camera system.
- Understanding Camera Image Quality tools, metrics and methods
- Hands-on experience on assessing image quality evaluation for all build phases (EVT/DVT/PVT) for embedded camera systems
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- 7+ years of relevant work experience, including test and deployment of camera image systems.
- Knowledge in the domain of Camera technology, camera HW design and familiarity with algorithms such as 3A, HDR, etc.
- Understanding of ISP pipeline and HW/Systems architectures
- Experience with imaging testing lab management and test setup design and implementation.
- Experience in full development lifecycle for embedded camera systems
- Experience in vendor management and manufacturing processes (especially camera, sensor, lens, ALS and IR LEDS)
- Knowledge of optics simulation tools such as Zemax, Lighttools or ASAP.
- Experience in Matlab/Python/Javascript coding as well as shell scripting.
