Description
- Design and implement public policy initiatives and engagement strategies with federal legislators, particularly with House Democrats. - Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, as well as with industry trade associations, congressional member organizations and related nonprofit organizations. - Effectively communicate policy priorities and provide feedback with regard to stakeholder policy initiatives.- Draft policy and background materials for relevant meetings and engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in government, government relations, or other advocacy/engagement roles.
  • Experience working in a Congressional or Leadership office or for a Committee, and with extensive knowledge of the legislative process.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of policy issues and organizing policy-focused events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience advocating before Congress on behalf of corporations, trade associations, or any other interest group and leading engagement with key congressional member organizations and related nonprofits.
  • Knowledge of the policy issues relevant to Apple.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to concisely summarize complex issues and policies to create advocacy points and strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous work environment.
  • Proven creative problem solving history, ability to work collaboratively and under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership skills and professional presence.
  • Highly motivated self-starter and must enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player and willingness to pitch in when necessary.
