Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager you will provide timely and high-quality work products to the senior manager team. You will be tasked with supervising a motivated team of professionals in our Global Delivery Services (“GDS”) team in India as a detail reviewer of tax returns. This includes providing review notes and guidance on returns, as well as mentoring and team-building support, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential. You will identify potential opportunities and risks while reviewing tax returns and communicating these to the senior manager team. You will work on various special projects (such as tax research), when assigned.

Skills and attributes for Success

  • Analyze specific issues in the review of amended tax returns, based on ARC’s established process and guidance
  • Apply technical tax knowledge when questions from GDS staff arise
  • Follow up on the status of deliverables, analyze the issues preventing completion and working with other to problem solve resolution
  • Execute tasks in continuous improvement projects to drive improved quality, visibility, efficiency and client experience, including analyzing current process performance and how to improve it
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to prioritize or request clarification on the priority of various engagements
  • Responsible for management of own daily project tasks in order to meeting client deadlines
  • Supervision of US Senior Analysts and Assistant Managers, GDS staff and/or GDS seniors working on same engagement
  • Moderate overtime will be expected during the ARC’s peak times (normally September through December)
  • Ability to work independently from a remote location

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related business major or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing a team
  • 6-8 years’ experience
  • CPA or EA certification

Ideally you’ll also have

  • Knowledge of global statutory reporting and/or bookkeeping, preferably with experience across multiple countries
  • Strong analytical skills, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills; problem-solving ability and attention to details
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT concepts
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $90,800 to $166,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $109,000 to $189,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
