The Business Manager support role supports effective financial management across a specific area of the enterprise technology business. Business management support resources will be involved in activities such as

  • financial management
  • resource management
  • vendor support
  • product management support
  • general running of the business

Your key responsibilities

  • Work within a specific ET Business Management team to understand their portfolio, financial plan and internal processes.
  • Provide support with tasks including
    • Umbrella invoices reviews and approvals
    • Forecasting file administration
    • Ad hoc support (cleanup activities, success stories collection, SharePoint/Teams maintenance, other ad hoc work)
  • Business Management Support staff may under supervision taking responsibility for an area of the business undertaking activities such as
    • Financials & Resource reviews and updates
    • Conducting monthly budget review meetings
    • Planning & Forecasting
    • Acting as BMO SPOC for any queries customers may have

Skills and attributes for success

  • Technical skills requirements
  • Understanding u of IT life cycle (pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, operations)
  • Some exposure to end-to-end financial management – plan, forecast, actual – function, portfolio, and program/project levels
  • Experience working within an IT environment
  • Business Analytic skills
  • Confident with use of excel and powerBI
  • Additional skills requirements
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
  • Customer orientation and responsiveness
  • Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
  • English language skills - good written and verbal communication
  • Experience working in a global IT environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience in working in a global environment and an ability to interact with different cultures and build strong working relationships

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse audiences

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job and use critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to learn

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Strong organizational skills

• 2+ years of experience in business and financial management and analysis.
