Resource Management
Processes requests from resource management systems and guides other team members. Proposes and fulfills assignments for complex staffing requests. Provides staffing options or negotiates with stakeholders to meet stated skills, levels, and start dates in requests and ensure staffing efficiency. Provides recommendations for improving overall team results within the domain/region.
Consults with business teams to ensure utilization performance meets target/forecast. Analyzes utilization reports to draw insights from the results. Recommends, prescribes, and drives programmatic efforts to improve utilization performance within the domain/region.
Collaborates with managers of technical delivery resources in the deployment of resources in supported domain/time zone to make suggestions. Makes recommendations to business stakeholders on skill/accreditation adjustment to meet business demands.
Guides the rhythm and enhancement of the content for the rhythm. Leverages key delivery resources in communication (e.g., community calls). Maintains relationships with community leaders (e.g., Services Practice Lead, Regional Business Leader).
Handles escalations and resolves complex staffing issues. Guides/supports team members in resolving staffing issues. Suggests processes/practices that can be adopted across domains/regions. Identifies escalation trends. Recommends and leads actions to address the trends/drivers of staffing issues.
Provides capacity recommendations in the early stage of deal structuring in alignment with domain capacity outlook and constraints.
Identifies leading practices, solutions, or analyses that are deployed across Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC). Contributes to the definition of broader sales and delivery methodology for the Microsoft sales organization (or "MCEM") and Order to Cash (O2C) solutions for a domain/time zone. Collaborates with business stakeholders and team members to develop new solutions/processes.
Driving Business Transformation
Contributes to establishing new standardized global processes based on feedback on tools, technology, and processes. Leads the implementation of processes/standards. Contributes to implementing changes with Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) to improve internal and stakeholder experiences.
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) process. Leverages insights and quantifies feedback on the process, tools, and business intelligence (BI) from other teams inside or outside of Business Excellence and Operations (BEO). Drives adoption/improvement across time zone. Contributes input in critical discussions, key time zone events, and meetings.
Operational Excellence
Guides others on capacity analysis. Leads capacity insight discussions. Contributes to workforce planning within a domain/region. Drives actions/changes and contributes to the alignment of staffing strategies across domains/time zones.
Actively maintains Global Resource Management (GRM) data quality to ensure accurate insights to support current and long-term resourcing requirements.
Identifies actions and contributes to driving consistency within domain/region.
Progresses all active staffing requests within Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) Service Level Agreement (SLA). Analyzes SLA data and coaches others on efficiency to improve results and support compliance. Suggests changes to the leadership team to capture business scenarios accurately through metrics and SLA.
Cross-Border Travel
Guides team members to initiate the travel process when taking resources across the borders. Coordinates with subcontractors to ensure the travel authorization is in place and guides team members on following related operating standards. Provides insights based on common trends and risks in securing cross-border approvals.
Outsourced Staffing Management
Collaborates with managers of contracted Resource Coordinators (RCs). Assists with the resolution of staffing issues by leveraging all possible staffing options. Follows the escalation metrics and leverages the right stakeholders as appropriate. Provides direct input into observations on the outsourced resource and outcomes. Participates in or provides input on quarterly business reviews/updates.
Hosts regular operational sync discussions with time-zone Resource Coordinator (RC) team. Sets agenda and ensure actions are captured and documentation updated as appropriate. Raises issues to leadership where appropriate for action. Drives change management with RCs to inform and implement changes on process, tools, and business intelligence (BI). Maintains cross-time zone sync with peers to share best practices and time-zone specific issues and actions.
Specialty Responsibilities
Facilitates contractors and coaches' others to process partner-staffing requests for a supported time zone. Resolves escalated staffing issues and manages the relationship with partner companies. Collaborates with supplier management team to support compliance.
