The Enterprise Account Manager is a key driver of merchant success, managing relationships, overseeing account strategies, and identifying growth opportunities for a portfolio of enterprise-sized merchants in the Benelux region.

  • Develop and implement innovative account strategies to create lasting value for merchants and PayPal.

  • Own merchant accounts, building senior strategic relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Negotiate and manage commercial terms, contracts, and agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Drive revenue retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities, consistently achieving sales quotas.

  • Forge and sustain strategic relationships with merchants, aligning their goals with PayPal’s solutions.

  • Anticipate future merchant needs through insights, fostering long-term partnership opportunities.

  • Oversee the strategy, delivery and operations of PayPal’s solutions, to ensure a seamless customer experience

  • Monitor account health, identify and mitigate risks, and drive merchant retention through churn mitigation and renewals.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and meet account plans and merchant expectations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage pipelines, forecast revenue, and report on sales activities.

  • Leverage competitive and industry insights to refine account strategies and influence PayPal’s broader business initiatives.

  • Advocate for merchant needs within PayPal, driving innovation and aligning solutions with market demands.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, client success, or sales within payments or fintech, focused on driving merchant growth and retention.

  • Deep understanding of e-commerce, merchant services, and payment solutions, with familiarity in fintech products and digital platforms, as a strong advantage.

  • Proven success managing high-value accounts, delivering strategic account plans, and achieving sales quotas through retention, upselling, and cross-selling.

  • Expertise in building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor to align merchant goals with organizational solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to deliver seamless and innovative customer experiences.

  • Strong knowledge of the payments industry, including the competitive landscape, market trends, and merchant needs, to shape and refine strategic account initiatives.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and securing mutually beneficial outcomes in complex deal structures.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker with a proven ability to identify growth opportunities, address complex challenges, and deliver measurable business results.

  • Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to accurately manage pipelines, forecast revenue, and report on sales activities.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering outstanding results.

  • Executive presentation skills, including in-person, written, and verbal. Full proficiency in English is essential.
