As a leader of leaders, the most critical responsibility of the Regional Logistics Manager is the successful development and coaching of the leaders under you. An effective Regional Logistics Manager develops leaders that know how to make the right decisions, improve organizational culture and take responsibility for his or her mistakes; while encouraging others to learn from them. You will evangelize Accountability and emphasize the importance of this responsibility in creating a strong culture of accountability throughout the entire organization.As a proven tactician, the Regional Logistics Manager uses expertise and high judgment to establish the right team structure to respond to customer needs and short-term business goals. They ensure their teams are operating efficiently, meeting SLAs, and delivering high quality results. The Regional Logistics Manager creates plans, communicates requirements, negotiates priorities, and clarifies what success looks like across all levels.
Key job responsibilities
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with customers, stakeholders and support teams such as HR, Finance, Safety, Security, etc…
• Be the senior point of contact for communication and escalation for internal logistics team matters across the region
• Implement new processes as required in order to improve efficiency and to support growth in new product and services
• Be the primary facilitator of team coordination and cohesion and effectively manage relationships at all levels, including Senior Leadership
• Build a culture which promotes a "safety first" mentality for Logistics operations
• Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, performance and process change initiatives
• Be a strong supporter of improvement initiatives and ensure new opportunities are distributed fairly amongst the team
• Hold regularly scheduled 1:1’s with a focus on personal and team growth and development
• Develop proficiency in Amazon language and skill functionality to ensure the capability of spreading and teaching the Amazon culture
• Maintain a high quality of individual standard-work and drive accountability and coaching when quality falls short

• 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain management. Experience managing multiple locations or a regional portfolio is highly desirable
• Strong background in process improvement, workflow optimization, and implementing operational best practices
• Proven track record of managing budgets, KPIs, and reporting for multi-site/multi-team operations.
• Experience collecting data and reporting against key performance metrics
• Experienced in inventory control and/or Inventory Management Systems (IMS/WMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
• Excellent leadership and people management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address operational issues
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with upper management and front-line teams
• Project management skills to lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and risk management practices
• Project management certification (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) is often preferred
• Industry-specific certifications (e.g. logistics, transportation, distribution) can be beneficial.
