Description
This is a hybrid QA/Automation role with a focus on leading our overall automation effort for iOS. As a Tools and Automation Quality Engineer you will work alongside engineering teams to deeply understand the technology and develop test plans around it. Your automation work will involve developing and maintaining test applications and automated test suites for exercising various SDK/APIs and functionality in the System for the Graphics, Text and UI frameworks. Your debugging skills and attention to detail will help us to mine actionable defect reports on a daily basis while continually improving the health of our test products.
Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Test Automation development and CI experience
  • Understanding of Application development and Unit Testing preferably using Xcode and XCTest
  • Strong object oriented programming and software design skills, preferably in Swift or Objective-C
  • Ability to investigate, and debug difficult runtime problems on Unix based systems and work towards resolution
  • Experience with developing system and feature level test plans and test cases
  • Experience writing production-ready automated UI and non-UI tests
Education & Experience
BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
