As ainyou will lead the innovation and development of cutting-edgetechnologies, focusing on, storage technologies, and subsystems for(FCEVs). You will spearhead the creation of a specialized department dedicated to advancing our role in the hydrogen economy. This position will require managing a small team and establishing a hydrogen testing facility in Aachen. Your leadership will drive forward our capabilities infor hydrogen technology components, ensuring alignment with our sustainable business objectives.
Your responsibilities:
Project Management : Oversee the entire lifecycle of hydrogen technology projects from concept through development, testing, and implementation. Act as a liaison with business development and other departments to ensure project success.
Team Leadership : Build and manage a small team comprising an additional engineer and students. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Testing Facility Setup and Operation : Establish and operate a hydrogen testing stand for components in Aachen, ensuring all operations comply with safety and technical standards.
Strategic Collaboration : Work closely with the academic and industry network of JE Aachen and other key stakeholders in the hydrogen sector to integrate and leverage external expertise and technologies.
Technical and Customer Project Oversight : Handle technical tasks in customer projects, ensuring solutions meet client and market needs.
Interdepartmental Coordination : Engage with manufacturing sites to oversee the fabrication of hydrogen components, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Our requirements:
Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on hydrogen technology or related areas.
At least 5 years of experience in research and development within the hydrogen industry, including significant project management experience.
Profound knowledge of electrolyzer technology, hydrogen storage solutions, and FCEV subsystems. Experience with powder metallurgy is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
Strong connections within the hydrogen academic and industry networks, particularly within Europe.
Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in German is highly desirable to facilitate local operations and collaborations.
