What you need to know about the role:• You will report to the Treasurer directly as part of Treasury leadership team, and manage an existing team of ~15 employees across the US and India.
• This role requires a proven track record of enhancing productivity and efficiency using latest Treasury technologies and techniques, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence within a structured governance and control framework.
• You will lead the ongoing transformation of the Cash Management function by improving existing processes with cutting-edge technology and driving long-term strategic initiatives, such as the In-House Bank initiative.
• You will work closely with the Product settlement, FX Risk Management, Investments, and other Treasury teams to ensure operational excellence in cash management related activities.
• You will also closely collaborate with Controllership, Payroll, AP, Tax and Legal teams.

Your way to impact

  • You will be expected to develop and articulate a clear strategy for the team that will enable PayPal’s liquidity management and capital allocation. As an expert in your area, you will identify and develop Treasury initiatives that are in line with company’s goals and lead your function to deliver against these goals.
  • You will implement, improve, and maintain efficient cash management systems using your knowledge and expertise of latest Treasury technologies and techniques.
  • You will incorporate data and analytics in cash positioning and forecasting processes.
  • You will ensure operational excellence in all Cash Management activities.
  • You will work cross-functionally with the Finance, Product, IT and Internal Audit teams to ensure an effective control environment for PayPal’s cash management activities.
  • You will be a key contributor to PayPal’s cash management transformation, specifically in setting up the In-House Bank infrastructure.

In your day-to-day role you will oversee the team that is responsible for:

  • Supporting funding of all corporate payment activity, including interco and external settlements, through positioning liquidity across entities globally.
  • Daily/Weekly forecasting ensuring operational liquidity and regulatory compliance.
  • Managing Bank relationships for corporate banking partners related to cash management operations.
  • Supporting strategic projects; new entity openings, M&A post-integration, credit products, major transactions (e.g. assets, sales, interco, dividends), systems enhancements and process improvements
  • Working cross-functionally to evaluate the operating effectiveness of internal controls and maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Maintaining PayPal’s bank account infrastructure and all related activities (open / close/ novate bank accounts, KYC etc)
  • Oversee wire room activities for timely settlement of interco and external wires
  • Identifying and improving key cash management processes using technology and analytics
  • Working with Technology teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements resulting in productivity
  • Designing “future treasury” at PayPal, driving In House Bank strategy

  • Minimum 15 years of Treasury cash management experience in multinational large company setting
  • Proven track record of driving transformation activities resulting in measurable productivity gains; strong project management skills
  • Previous experience leading high performing teams
  • Previous experience driving results in a global organization
  • Having previously implemented In-House Bank solutions a plus
  • Flexibility to manage multiple high priority projects and re-prioritize critical issues, as necessary.
  • BS/BA in Business, Accounting, or similar
