As a Data Analytics Manager or Senior Manager in the Sydney or Melbourne office, you’ll play a key role with our government and private sector clients, providing high quality analytical and strategic analysis through the development of data analytics models and AI solutions in relation to our clients' issues, projects and new strategic initiatives. In particular, you will support Generative AI development in SaT applying Large Language Models (LLM) technology to deliver new and faster services for SaT and our clients.

Throughout all projects you will leverage your understanding of quantitative analysis to provide value-adding insights to support decision making and solve a broad range of commercial and financial issues. You would also have the opportunity to build strong working relationships with your clients, understanding their issues, anticipating future opportunities, and developing solutions to meet their needs.

Your primary focus will be providing and leading advanced analytical projects including but not limited to the following solutions:

  • Generative AI and statistical driven projects focused on efficiency and optimisation.
  • Development of reporting and analytical solutions to support our clients with data-driven insights for targeted client requirements.
  • Architecting applications and tools that harness several analytical technologies to support teams involved in transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple technology engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery within project timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Participate in client proposals and presentations to expand the technology practice.
  • You will foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for other team members through task delegation and mentorship.
  • Use and develop Generative AI technologies to improve internal efficiencies and client solutions.
  • Leverage Cloud technologies such as Azure or relevant alternatives for data analytics solutions.
  • Effectively communicate technical modelling results and insights to both technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Exceptional leadership, business development, communication and team collaboration skills are essential.

  • Good understanding of AI and Large Language Models, including their business applications and use cases, with a passion for getting into the details of model tuning and development.

  • Experience with Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.

  • Familiarity with data and analytics development using Cloud technology stacks. Microsoft and Azure experience will be highly valued especially using ADF, Databricks, and Power BI.

  • Broader experience in machine learning, data visualisation, geo-spatial tools or operational research tools (including optimisation, simulation and digital twin solutions) is valuable but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer or Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience in analytics, modelling, consulting, accounting or government environments.

  • Strong business acumen and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced client, strategy and transactions-oriented environment.

  • A Baseline or above level of Security Clearance, or an ability to obtain a security clearance, is preferable but not mandatory.
