the FX Markets Controller Lead role within the APAC FX Markets Controllers team, responsible for oversight of P&L and Balance Sheet reporting. Involves driving improvements to the control infrastructure, meeting external reporting requirements specific to the business, as well as providing add-value and forward-thinking P&L and balance sheet analysis.
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Manage, lead and direct a team of professionals
- Apply an in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions
- Ensure delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses and/or geographic regions
- Resolve complex and varied issues, taking of an action and weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
- Escalate anomalies and issues in a timely manner
- Provide individual performance evaluation, career planning/development and input to compensation
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 10+ years experience in a related role
- Experience in financial control, valuation or related discipline
- Financial products and valuation related knowledge
- Evidence of robust control focus
- Management experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/Univesity degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
