Product Control, the largest department in Finance, is primarily responsible for controlling daily profit and loss reporting, price verification and trading activity for the Institutional Clients Group. We work closely across functions on a daily basis (including the Trading desks, Risk Management, Operations, and other areas of Finance) and develop a deep understanding of the products traded, along with the associated market risks and accounting complexities.
In this role, you’re expected to take on:
The Financial Markets Product Control Analyst 2 role, an intermediate level positionwithin the bank’s Finance organization responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the Markets business’ books and records. The overall objective of the role is to assist in the analysis, review, and reporting of trading revenue and balance sheet. Responsibilities also cover associated controls such as profit attribution, new trade activity analysis, profit attribution, valuation control, product P&L, balance sheet reporting and data reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data
Identify process gaps and control issues
Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner
Interpret data, identify inconsistencies through research and recommend solutions based on analysis
Develop knowledge of how team interacts with others to accomplish Finance goals
Develop basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Exchange complex information succinctly and with discretion
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Interest in pursuing a career in finance / financial markets
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
2-4 years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree graduate
