As a Vice President in the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement function within the Payments organization at JP Morgan, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, identifying, and understanding Regulatory Changes impacting Payments. You will engage with the business and other stakeholders through the regulatory change life cycle, manage a cluster of jurisdictions in EMEA, and develop a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with global Control Managers, Legal, Compliance, and business managers, and to represent GRDE in various forums.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Manage a cluster of jurisdictions in EMEA, and for these, develop a deep understanding or the regulatory landscape and keep abreast of the regulatory developments
  • Conduct regulatory research and analyse laws, regulations and developments that impact the Payment business and ensure that these are impact assessed and tracked through to execution
  • Develop succinct and high quality materials/internal publications for senior stakeholders across the business and for impact assessments forums
  • Partner with global Control Managers, Legal, Compliance and business managers to ensure regulations are assessed and dispositioned accurately, efficiently, and timely
  • Represent GRDE in forums and ability to synthesize regulatory requirements and present these in relevant forums as required, where required
  • Engage in other special projects, as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :

  • 8+ years Professional experience in legal, regulatory research in a major law firm, consulting firm, Fintech and/or financial institution
  • Highly motivated individual with knowledge of the financial services regulatory landscape including key regulators and regulations.
  • Broad Payments product knowledge (e.g., cash management, payment FX, overdrafts, and traditional trade)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable with working and partnering with people at all levels, across all functional areas and internationally. Able to motivate and gain consensus among peers and stakeholders to drive critical initiatives to completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail in written documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Execution-oriented self-starter who likes to take initiative and is able to deliver in efficient and effective ways
  • Proven work ethic, desire to learn and aptitude for problem solving and analysis
