Job Description:
This role will be responsible for leading UX strategy and design efforts for a suite of internal Compliance applications, ensuring a user-first approach as the platform evolves and scales.
User Experience Leadership
- Lead UX strategy and design for Compliance technology initiatives, ensuring applications are intuitive, user-centric, and aligned to real-world workflows.
- Develop wireframes, journey maps, personas, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that support user needs and business goals.
- Drive Day-in-the-Life research programs and user mapping exercises to ensure a deep understanding of user workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
- Define and promote UX standards, scalable design patterns, and component-driven design approaches across Compliance applications.
- Partner with Technology leads to support the integration of designs with shared front-end frameworks and component libraries.
Strategic Communication & Vision Support
- Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to develop and refine business cases, platform strategies, and vision narratives.
- Create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations and storytelling materials that clearly articulate UX insights, product vision, and the role of user-centered design in driving platform evolution.
- Support strategic workshops and stakeholder sessions, helping to visually communicate research findings, design solutions, and business impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Partnership
- Act as a key partner to Product and Technology teams, ensuring strong alignment between user needs, business requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Work closely with developers, including front-end engineering leads, to ensure the accurate and efficient implementation of designs.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical workshops to embed UX considerations early in the development cycle.
- Contribute to maintaining and evolving UX documentation, standards, and design libraries specific to Compliance initiatives.The candidate will be required to build and maintain relationships with colleagues in many different groups and time-zones to ensure their success in the role.
The role will operate in a junior project management capacity which will mean working closely with the RegTech and EU INFRA senior leadership team and will have responsibility for a number of tasks including;
- Collation and submission of project estimates for upcoming initiatives
- Identification of project risks
- Management of project resourcing forecasts and actuals
- Maintenance of the Global Reg Tech & EU INFRA book of work
- Project deliverable tracking
- Weekly project status reporting to European CIO
- Weekly reporting to TDS CIO and OCIO management
- Co-ordination of technology wide deliverables for multi-stream projects
- Collation of estimates across technology
- Technology issue and risk oversight and management
- Deliverables timeline co-ordination
- Resolution of time management issues
- Capturing metrics on releases and emergency changes
- Assisting with JIRA prioritization, planning and management for BAU team activities
- Vendor onboarding for RegTech, FinTech and EU INFRA new initiatives
- Preparation and distribution of the bi-monthy European Technology and RegTech newsletter
Numerous learning opportunities will also be present in the role. These will include:

UX Skills
- Expert-level skills in user experience design, including user research, journey mapping, Day-in-the-Life studies, and usability testing.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing complex, enterprise-grade applications.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or similar).
- Deep understanding of design systems, component-driven frameworks, and scalable UX practices.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design methodologies.
Professional Skills
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with experience creating executive-level PowerPoints and strategic vision materials.
- Ability to translate user research into actionable recommendations and business cases.
- Excellent collaboration skills with experience partnering across Technology, Product, and UX organizations.
- Comfortable operating in agile environments and participating throughout iterative delivery cycles.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance user needs with business and technical constraints.
• 7+ years of professional UX design experience, with at least 3 years leading design initiatives or working in a lead capacity.
• Experience designing for financial services, regulatory, or compliance applications preferred but not required.
