Key Role Details

  • Full-time new hires for this role will start as a cohort in a rotational program in August 2025.

  • This role is a full-time associate position within a two-year rotational program, designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent.

  • Rotations occur at the one-year mark and allow for hands-on experience in two distinct roles.

  • Associates who participate in this program may choose to remain in their final role placement upon completion of the program or explore other opportunities at Capital One.

  • Participation in the program requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, for the duration of your time in the Program in accordance with Capital One’s.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2025 or earlier

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated interest and experience in product management, software delivery, data science, software engineering, or leveraging software to solve customer and business problems

  • Technical undergraduate major such as Computer Science or Engineering preferred. Other Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or quantitative (e.g., economics, statistics, finance) undergraduate majors encouraged

As part of the Product Development Program, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience leveraging new technology while building product management skills in two distinct roles over two years

  • Develop leadership skills in the professional setting through meaningful interaction with product leaders

  • Leverage data and customer insights to understand customer and business problems, make strategic business decisions, and lead high functioning tech teams to implement solutions

  • Participate in Experiential education weeks focused on leadership development, challenging strategic problem-solving exercises, and extensive networking activities

In your role, you might:

  • Manage an engineering team to ship, scale, and improve products that delight our customers and position our company for substantial growth. You will work alongside your product team and learn how to strategically influence product direction and prioritize features, actively manage a backlog, and clear impediments for the team.

  • Own the success and life cycle of features for your product /platform, setting its strategy and driving prioritization decisions toward improvements. You will test and learn your way to something new while taking into account business strategy, market analysis, user feedback, analytics and technology best practices.

  • Partner with experts to craft and drive long-term business strategy. You will strive to solve the right problems and steer away from the wrong ones by deeply understanding our business, developing customer empathy, and integrating multiple streams of data.

  • Collaborate with internal partners. You will rally your team to deliver your vision while participating in relevant governance and risk forums and building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Engage with your network of developers, designers, analysts, data scientists, customers and other subject-matter experts and leverage them to build cutting-edge products.

  • Curious.You ask why, explore, and bring your unique perspective to the table. You’ll grow comfortable with ambiguity, fueled by a hunger to learn and constantly seeking new challenges.

$113,000 - $113,000 for Product Development Program

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
