You will:
Create, design and review architectural collateral, documenting the scope of our firmware features. Prototype potential solutions to comprehend feasibility.
Gather business requirements and drive product definition and prioritization for firmware features. Influence the hardware and software direction for features that span beyond firmware.
Generate Intellectual Property to protect innovations.
Balance short term versus long term actions, strategic vs tactical requirements, while continuing to align the architectural road map to achieve the strategic vision.
Assess and optimize program tradeoffs such as cost, performance, quality, and schedule, while making the proper feature tradeoffs between firmware, electrical, power and thermal requirements.
Essential Requirements
UEFI BIOS and/or Embedded Controller development experience with Intel and/or AMD x86, and ARM system architectures
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience in presenting to business and technical teams in an effective and persuasive manner. High degree of efficacy to navigate and relate tomultiple audiencelevels
Strongsystem level architecture experience for both hardware and firmware
Familiarity withvarious hardwarebus interfaces such as PCI, SMBUS, USB Type C, LPC, I2C
Strong programmingexperience usinglanguages such as C, C++ or C#
Desirable Requirements
Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a similar field, with 15+ years of industry experience
Experience usinganalyzers and other hardware tools to debug complex system software issues
