Specific responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the FT Application Management community, development and implementation of a practical strategic architecture vision for FT application portfolio, including target state architectures and associated roadmaps in accordance with GFT technology strategy

  • Representation of FT in the enterprise architecture governance community, collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture function and the architecture governance representatives from other Citi sectors and contribution to enterprise architecture governance policies, standards, and procedures

  • Working closely with the FT risk and control team, development and streamlining of architecture operational and governance processes, including process definition, documentation, improvement, monitoring, support, execution/oversight as applicable, and operational/management reporting.

  • Participation in ongoing technology governance processes (e.g. new application/product requests, business process and function taxonomy mapping, software end-of-vendor-support management, server software requests, application external hosting requests, engineering work requests, technology process/standards deviations, application inventory data quality maintenance, technology mandate communication/compliance).

  • Identification and execution of the appropriate architecture engagement model for individual FT initiatives, programs and projects, based on a thorough assessment of alignment to global architecture principles and optimally leveraging business, technical and data architecture shared services

  • Maximizing compliance with enterprise and FT architecture principles, best practices and standards, and ensuring ongoing alignment with GFT technology and application portfolio strategies and roadmaps

  • Maximizing technology reuse within FT application portfolios through leveraging of existing services, frameworks and components

  • Ensuring ongoing quality of architecture-related application metadata in CSI, including application technology stacks, application portfolio management data and application dependencies

  • Coordination point for externally initiated architecture and technology-related matters related to GFT portfolio (e.g. infrastructure optimization activities, cross-portfolio information requests, tech mandatory activity support, etc.)

Opportunity:

  • Play a critical role in a variety of complex and highly visible technology programs contributing to the cost-effective delivery of global functions to the entire enterprise. Develop advanced skills in systems, business, data, and technical architecture disciplines.

  • Responsible for additional governance activities related to ITeSS platform certification and use case review and tracking as well as GenAI use case review and prioritization for the Functions Technology as well as the Finance and Risk Technology Portfolios.

Technical Skills:

  • 6-10 years of hands-on systems architecture or related technology experience in a complex, multi-vendor systems environment.

  • 5+ years experience and administration of Confluence and Jira

  • 3+ years Microsoft Teams and SharePoint knowledge

  • Solid understanding of systems, business, data, and technical architecture disciplines, including exposure to such key methodologies and approaches as data/information modeling and cloud computing.

  • Ability to support and implement an appropriate business-aligned strategic architecture vision. (Specific experience or knowledge in banking and other financial services is a plus.)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
