In this role, you will be responsible for:
Partner with and influence R&D, Procurement, and other functions to develop and deploy the short/long-term supplier management strategy.
Collaborating with engineering teams and suppliers to solve engineering issues, leading and driving proactive supply development activities (not limited to supplier-caused or design-caused issues).
Develop or adopt best engineering practices for industrialization at suppliers for post-launch sustaining activities
Mentoring and growing team, implementing development plans for high-potential direct reports.
Engage and influence site leadership and other stakeholders in the business.
Address supply issues with a high sense of urgency and with the proper rigor.
Maintenance of department budget and resource allocation.
You're the right fit if:
You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Master's Degree preferred).
You have acquired 5+ years of experience as a people leader with a medical device company.
You've spent at least 7-10 years in manufacturing engineering, Quality, research & development.
Strong communication skills
You have hands-on Lean Six Sigma experience.
You've been responsible for multisite operations .
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements
You are available to work on-site 3-4 days/ week and have a local residence
Professional competencies Influencing without direct authority, such as collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution
Functional competencies, including Change management, Project management, APQP Process and Deliverables, ISO13485/9001/FDA, Quality Control Toolkit (Pareto, SPC, etc.), Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), Supplier Assessment and DfX Continuous Improvement
