Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Analyze data and Apple product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished Apple product, including designing and manufacturing acoustic components for iPhones. Collaborate with multi-functionals teams in developing the product manufacturing and test processes. Work on process flows and equipment and fixture designs for adhesives dispensing, laser and micro welding, die-cut, optical alignment, PSA, component assembly and leak testing to meet cycle time requirements. Manage implementation schedules for new product development builds. Manage validation and maintenance plans for equipment setup, optimize parameters and machine buy-off. Perform design of experiments (DOE), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and other industry standard tools on customer returns and factory fallout to identify risks of product performance and reliability. Optimize process paramaters to ensure manufacturing process meets cycle time requirements. Communicate project readiness and identify technical challenges of scalable design and process in a mass production to engineering and operations executives to meet product performance and factory operational targets. Coordinate multi-functional activities in the supply chain for operational readiness and drive project technical and operational issues in New Product Introduction (NPI) phases leading into mass production. Evaluate prospective suppliers’ production capability and quality management, including machine buy-offs, line audits and product performance, inspections and functional stress testing. Direct suppliers to establish and validate the process capability with statistical tools to meet designs, test, and quality requirements for Apple products, including building mechanical reliability and acoustic performance programs and manufacturing process control plans. Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for adhesives used in micro speakers and surround thermoforming tooling to improve product performance adhesives and speaker diaphragm robustness. Create simulation models for speaker modules to detect and mitigate mechanical reliability failures. International Travel Required 35%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,397 - $227,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
