Here, you will make an impact by:
Creating new and amending existing service manuals for Scott, Peltor and Fall Protection ranges for EMEA region, covering repair, replacement and preventative maintenance of all major assemblies and components. Primary using Adobe InDesign to create structured, modular manuals.
Creating and amending technical illustrations detailing maintenance operations using software such as ArborText ISODraw, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop; as well as bulletins and similar documents related to servicing. These could be forms, clarifications, videos or animations.
Maintaining revision control of service manual amendments through sign-off sheets and through the PLM system
Upload new and replace existing service manuals for end-user access through the Partner Portal system.
Providing documentation and illustration support to the rest of the Service and Repair and Training as and when required.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Experience writing for a technical audience or end users
Strong engineering background and knowledge of document publishing software packages, fluency with IsoDraw and InDesign for desk top publishing.
Ability to accept training and feedback and incorporate what you learn.
Strong listening and communication skills
Bachelor’s/Master’s
/Apprenticeship
degree or higher from an accredited institution
