As a member of the Power Engineering team you will develop and test power solutions for our next generation Doorbell/Camera hardware. You will be a power electronics subject matter expert in an engineering team responsible for both new product development as well as product sustaining and support. You will help grow the capabilities in our power test lab by creating/running new tests, innovating new test processes, and automating the execution of these tests.This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position, and you’ll work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You’ll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve products performance, quality and cost.You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a fast-paced environment. You are expected to represent as the Power Design owner and dive deep into the difficult problem for the root cause analysis and arrange appropriated solution for it.Key job responsibilities
· System Power development from RFQ to MP
· Hands on for Power circuit design, study, build and verification
· Write or contribute to development of test specifications, criteria and procedures.
· Hands on to find root cause, and a solution or workaround for bugs
· Second source qualification, cost down task
· Support for sustaining engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience specifically in power electronics
- HW Lab experience: setting up prototypes, developing tests and running tests
- Experience in power budget estimation for battery life in different scenario.
- Experience designing, testing, and debugging power electronics such as AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion, switching power supplies, driver circuits, and battery systems
- Experience with power, performance and cost optimization
