As an Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through effective test engineering practices. You will guide and coordinate the testing activities for assigned projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications. Your expertise in test methodologies and tools will be instrumental in developing and executing test plans and procedures.

You will report directly to our Test Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Kanata, ON location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will join the Honeywell Production Support organization as an Advanced Test Engineer. In this role, the primary responsibility will be to support and drive the hardware development test cycle of our SATCOM products from the design phase through to production test implementation and sustainment. You will leverage your technical experience and skills to drive solutions of challenging technical problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Test Planning & Execution
  • Product Test Requirements Analysis and Management
  • Product Test Setup design, automation and debugging.
  • Product Test Readiness and associated Design Reviews
  • Accountable for development and maintenance of Product Test Documentation
  • Supplier & subcontractor coordination
  • Product Test Data Review, Root Cause and Corrective Action of failures

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Systems Engineering or Computer Science
  • 9 years of Hardware engineering experience
  • 5 years of test engineering experience (preferably hardware)

We Value:

  • Writing Product/Production test plans, test specifications, test procedures, executing tests, writing test reports, Customer Service Bulletins, Customer Notice of Change (NOC), etc
  • Hands on experience with RF Test Equipment – oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, Network analyzers, power meters and Noise figure analyzers.
  • Hands on experience with Computer Networking (TCP/IP) Test Equipment – Packet/Bit Error Rate Testers, Routers, Switches, Network Bandwidth Monitor
  • Significant Individual responsibility providing technical mentoring and guidance to junior test engineers and technicians.
  • Familiar with Radio Communications.
  • Experience with Visio, LabVIEW and Power Point Presentation would be an asset.
  • Travel up to 10% of time, typically much less than 10%.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Controlled Goods security clearance.

  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting Circuit Card Assemblies.
