As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Job Overview

The work scope includes but not limit to:

• Qualcomm robotic reference platform development.

• Robotic fundamental feature design and development like motor control, base control.

• Robotic advanced feature design and development like robot arm control and obstacle avoidance.

• Robotic advanced feature design and development like semantic mapping and navigation.

• Co-work with global teams to identify issues and fix bugs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Familiar Linux/ROS/ROS2.

• Familiar one of the localization methods like vSLAM, gmapping, cartographer.

• Familiar one of the control methods like motor control, robot dynamics and control, robot kinematics, etc.

• Good at mathematics

• Good sense of responsibility and teamwork

• Good C/C++/Python language skill.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar robot arm control is a plus.

• Familiar computer vision is a plus.

• Experience on four-wheel-based robot or Humanoid robot product is a plus.

• Familiar design patterns or experience with software design projects is a plus.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Control Engineering with 3+ years’ experiences.

Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Control Engineering with 1.5+ years’ experiences.
