Job Description:

You will be part of the Venmo design team across all end-to-end experiences for Venmo consumers globally and work closely with your product and engineering partners to inform and drive the strategy and roadmap. You will work with cross-functional team members to build and deliver the best possible experiences across all aspects of commerce from discovery to post-purchase experiences.You will be the creative leadfor the teenpods, playing a key role in mentoring junior designers and driving strategically important initiativesIdeally, though not

a deep understanding of design patterns to build trust and security within our financial products. They will cultivate a visually sophisticated brand experience that resonates with our target audience, all while influencing stakeholders to champion their design vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with design, engineering, design systems and product management team members in the execution and delivery of PayPal’s products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.

  • Contributes to the planning and estimating work andparticipatesin broader work stream coordination and expectation setting.

  • Creates high-quality deliverables and executes based on product design goals and priorities without prescriptive guidance or direction, managing their work to a more extensive schedule.

  • Leverages and extends the use of established product design techniques, templates,presentationsand assets in the creation of product design analysis,solutionsand materials.

  • methodologyand software, and proposesnew solutionsoroptimizesexisting ones.

  • Creates opportunities to foster collaborative cross-discipline dynamics. Drives product design team delivery excellence, furthering influence to achieve product design goals.

  • May lead one or more individuals in experience and design initiatives. Informallymentorsjunior product design practitioners in best practices,processandmethodology

Requirements:

  • years experience

  • Bachelors or MasterDegree in the study of design including one of the following; Design, Information Architecture, HumanFactorsor equivalent project/portfolio experience.

  • Thorough understanding of product designmethodologyand lifecycle across significant channels and platforms.

  • Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights.

  • operateswithin an iterative design team, managing product design responsibilities against defined milestones andplanwith little day-to-day oversight.

  • Thorough knowledge of essential channels and platforms, with experience in mobile, dedicated, web and native solution design.

  • Experience with resources such as; pattern library, repositories, and internal communication tools.

  • General awareness of technology mediums (i.e., JavaScript, HTML/CSS) including differences between them.
