The Senior Electrophysiology Field Clinical Specialist will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians, laboratory staff, and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of the Farapulse (Pulsed Field Ablation System) and Rhythmia (mapping and navigation system used in EP procedures) during case procedures within an assigned geography, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals. In addition, you will also specialize with our wider portfolio including POLAR X (Crioablation system).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, system, and software development.
  • Educates customers and internal Boston Scientific employees on the merits and proper clinical usage of the Farapulse /Rhythmia devices by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all abreast of the latest product and technology developments.
  • Attends cases in labs of hospital accounts for case support and development efforts of the Farapulse/Rhythmia systems and its components.
  • Providing initial and continuous, as needed, training and feedback for development team and sales representatives (as appropriate) on Farapulse/Rhythmia, development process, products and features, and procedures involving those products and features.
  • Meets with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling (in an automobile or airplane) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospitals and to identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
  • In this role, you will be based in the Barcelona region and will be willing to support other regions if necessary.
  • This remote field-based role will require travel (approximately 80%) across the Barcelona region.

What are we looking for in you:

  • Successfully completed studies within Biomedical Sciences (or a similar subject area).
  • Knowledge of intracardiac navigation and electrophysiology – at least 2 years of experience.
  • Professional industry experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
  • Professional working proficiency language skills in both Spanish and English (at least B2). Additional language skills are appreciated.
  • Able to rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
  • Strong team player, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated and able to influence others.
  • Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively as required by workload.
  • Based in the area of Barcelona.
