Your responsibilities will include:

  • Integrate into a strong, high performance team culture.
  • Facilitate crisp decision making around key technical issues.
  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates.
  • Lead the design & execution of structured experimental plans to drive data-based decisions.
  • Understand anatomy, clinical use cases and user interface requirements to drive design decisions.
  • Develop novel improvements to products or processes resulting in expansion of BSC’s Intellectual Property portfolio in key strategic areas.
  • Successfully complete engineering work in multiple of the following areas: technology development, product design and development, test method development, specification development, bench studies.
  • Assess the feasibility and soundness of alternative engineering processes, materials, designs, or equipment.
  • Translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
  • Work cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, marketing, and other supporting functions on complex projects to ensure project success.

Required qualifications:

  • BS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science
  • Familiarity with design analysis techniques
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.
  • Strong hands-on engineering skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • MS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science
  • Class II or Class III Medical Device product development experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to research literature and develop clinical understanding with technical credibility
  • Experience developing and validating test methods
  • Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge
  • Experience with BSC quality systems
  • Catheter design and/or Nitinol experience

Maximum Salary: $ 110500

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
