This role involves program management of integration and technical infrastructure fit-out activities for Microsoft-owned systems, services, and critical infrastructure. The DCITIM will ensure successful installation of required infrastructure in new data center builds or leased facilities to deliver business capacity in the Atlanta metro area.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience working on data center projects. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • PMI (Project Management Institute) – PMP (Project Management Professional) certification highly desired
  • Experience working on data center projects.

  • BICSI RCDD or similar Telecommunications Design/Installation Experience preferred.

  • Experience managing large scale data center projects with both localized and virtual teams.

  • Client or Contractor side Datacenter construction or management experience.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and manage scopes and interdependencies between internal and external stakeholders, coordinating these efforts with the physical construction build and general contractor.
  • Oversee the handover process, ensuring required documentation and expectations are met for a seamless transition to Operations teams and the business.
  • Develop and manage project plans, executing key milestones such as Early Access, Ready Network Install, Corpnet Live, Security CX Complete, Fit Out Complete, Lockdown, and Colo Ready.
  • Monitor project budgets, recommend adjustments, and manage project controls, including expenditure requests, change orders, and pay applications, ensuring cost-effective delivery within budget forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., CO+I, CSE, RE&F) to update processes, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings. Participate in project meetings to provide guidance and promote cross-group collaboration.
  • Oversee procurement, resource allocation, and safety protocols to ensure timely, compliant project delivery. Communicate risk mitigation strategies and support progress tracking for program milestones.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure contract compliance and performance standards. Review engineering designs, identify risks, and provide recommendations to enhance constructability and align with organizational standards.
