Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
- Responsible for managing other marketing professionals.
- Ensure seamless sharing of information, best practices, and lessons learned across the organization.
- Lead the development and implementation of key initiatives including brand and disease strategy, oncology healthcare professional educational programs and materials across multiple marketing channels.
- Develop short to long term sales forecast for both in-line products and pipeline assets.
- Support competitive intelligence initiatives.
- Lead budget preparation and management.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic areas, becoming the commercial expert for these disease areas.
- Develop KEE (key external expert) strategy.
- Incorporate customer insights into programs and materials.
- Coordinate/Lead cross-functional team of Sales and other key functional areas including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and Legal/Compliance.
- Manage external agencies to develop and implement promotional programs and materials.
- Work closely with key hematology/oncology stakeholders including nurses, hospitals, office staff ,and professional societies.
- Develop/conduct external communication plans to increase company presence as well as disease awareness leveraging external vendors.
- Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced business degree strongly preferred
- 3+ years pharmaceutical commercial brand leadership
- At least 5 years pharmaceutical / consulting/ digital life science industry experience
- Experience and knowledge of oncology/hematology products is preferred
- Product launch experience is a plus
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in Japanese and English
