Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining the infrastructure required for product development, testing and production environments.
Responsibilities:- Deploying products in Mainframe – z/OS and Unix with fair knowledge on scripting.
- Change/define Work Load Manager (WLM) rules/definitions, IPL procedures in LPARs
- Upgrade TCPIP and TTLS rules
- Installing and upgrade of Db2 Stored procedures, analyze and tune queries
- Create bash scripts and rexx procedures.
- Be a hands-on person and involved in product installation/ configurations, troubleshooting (performance, 3rd party integrations, security)
- Work for smooth delivery of assigned projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment
- Close collaboration with other teams, technical support teams and business stakeholders
- Get things done – think outside the box and find creative solutions to tough technical problems.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 8 years’ experience in Z/Mainframe software development and infrastructure support
- Proven experience in changing WLM rules/definitions and IPL procedures in LPARs.
- Experience in changing TCPIP and TTLS rules and creating bash scripts,rexx procedures.
- Working experience with servers, applications and databases
- Experience in Db2 Stored procedures.
- Good analytical and problem resolution skills
- Proven understanding of Infrastructure maintenance and upgrade processes
- B.Tech/ B.E. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proven working experience in an agile software development environment.
